Imagine going to your favorite rock concert. The one with the lead singer you’re in love with. Imagine meeting the band. Imagine hitting it off with the lead singer. Ten years later your life is on track, you’re on the verge of getting engaged and – quite suddenly – that lead singer is back in your life. What would you do?
That’s precisely what happens to Sophie Penhalligan when Tuscq lead singer Dan suddenly reappears in her life. Everything was going just fine up to that point. Her boyfriend Tim was surely on the verge of proposing, her job was going well, and she’d transitioned nicely into adulthood after her raucous younger years came to an end.
Until one night in Paris, she finds herself suddenly engaged. To Dan.
Sophie’s Turn is a fun-filled novel that jumps readers from dwelling on what-could-have-been to taking action. Author Nicky Wells cleverly weaves together Sophie’s past and present in a way that makes readers feel like they’re there with Sophie, experiencing every breath-taking turn.
This sweet, end-of-summer novel should be paired with Da Da Da Lodi Chardonnay. This refreshing white is the perfect touch to a hot summer’s day – and to Sophie’s hot nights.
In case you missed it, author Nicky Wells wrote a guest post for us earlier this week here.

**Cheers** Love the sound of that Chardonnay! Thank you so much for your lovely review, Syrah, I am so happy you enjoyed Sophie’s Turn. Good luck to all give-away entrants–Rock on!
This book sounds amazing and I would love to read it. I totally pictured myself and the Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean and then my current boyfriend! What the heck would I do? Thanks for the review and for exposing a new book to me. Cheers to Chardonnay!
Hi Carolina, I’m so happy that you took the time to comment and that the review captured your interest. AJ McLean versus current boyfriend, there’s a conundrum indeed–no offense to unknown current boyfriend. You’ve totally ‘got’ the situation, and I hope you enjoy reading Sophie’s Turn if and when you get the chance. Rock on!
Hi Nicky, I started the book last night and I couldn’t put it down. I’m dying to hear about what happens next. The affair thing threw me off a bit, because I’m not one to actually have one, but I love reading about them lol (but if she didn’t have it, there would be no story). I’m already recommending this one to my friends
Carolina, what fabulous news! You have no idea how happy it makes me to hear this, and thanks for sharing this with me… and your friends! Don’t be put off by the affair thing, Sophie has a conscience and she’ll work it out, in the end. Would love to hear what you think when you’re finished… Rock on! x
